I'd bet Robin Jackson has some Weber tuning experience, Rich, though
it's up to him to decide if he has time to help out. I've got some as
well, enough to get some baseline data and get you in the ballpark with
jetting. Only thing is that I'd want you to bring the car to me so I'd
have my tools, which include a new Innovate LM-2 AFR analyzer, which
could be very helpful.
You'd need to do the following:
1) check with me off-list for available times
2) bring your car, and assortment of air correctors, mains, e-tubes
3) send me a list of all engine mods, including c/r
4) check with online Spitfire owner's groups for existing data on what
others have used for their engines with similar states of tune.
Of course, your best bet would be to take the car to a race engine shop,
where they deal with Weber carbs all day long. Infineon would be your
best bet in that regard. They could combine tuning with dyno runs, and
you'd really have the thing dialed in.
Cheers,
Greg Tatarian
