Tried to fire it up yesterday to see if I can make Sebring, can't get any oil
pressure. Used a priming tool, pump is packed, have a Sun pressure guage
under the hood where I can watch it, NOTHING. Repacked the gears (no fun on
the car), still nothing. How long must you spin it before it primes. The
drill is rated to 1200 rpm, yes, 4 1/2 quarts of Valvoline 10w30 in the sump,
using Dan's swivel oil pump adapter. I am starting to think that there is no
oil pickup in the sump.
Did I miss something? It's not looking good for Sebring.
