I don't know about the TD, but in the TC Toolbox there is a wooden block
about 1X1Xwidth of box. It's screwed to the bottom about 1/4 way from the
right side and I think it's a locator for the jack.

The felt runs up, over and down the die of the block.

My first TC had one, too, back in 1964.
