Whoops! My bad! You need a rosebud on a large gasket like that! Be careful not to get it too hot. But.....why not use a composite gasket? It conforms better.....

Terry,

You are right, there is not enough heat in a propane torch to anneal an N Type head gasket, but surely you know someone who has an oxy- acet rig who would do it for you. I use a "rose bud" nozzle on my rig and have never had a problem getting a gasket too hot.
