Whilst the trick of swopping the water jacket plates over solves that little 
problem, beware causing overheating to the front cylinder, the internal 
waterway tends to leave a pocket of still, very hot!, water water around it 
when you do it.
On my supercharged engine this caused the piston to expand slightly & semi 
sieze.
