Chris,
I have taken the internal parts from the Petrolift on my J2 and plan to
locate a pump near the rear axle area. An MGA pump should be a good
candidate as that is where they are located. There is a small hole (breather
?) in the upper part of the housing that I soldered closed. I know this will
work as I have seen it done on another J2. It will be quite sometime before I
can experience this myself as the J2 restoration is going even slower than
the TC restoration.
