To start off if the overdrive is engaged you CAN NOT BACK UP. It will =
feel like the brakes are on and eventually damage the inside of the =
planetary gears. So if you can back up the car with no problems it is =
not stuck in overdrive.
When you are operating the lever on the right side of the overdrive are =
you moving it far enough that you are raising the operating rod. If you =
are testing in while running you will not be able to lift it by hand. =
You will need a pair of pliers to operate by hand.

I'm still leaning toward a pressure problem---caused by----????? =20

PS---before I had the unit rebuilt, it operated beautifully---and I =
had Red Line MTL oil in it. I'm thinking of dumping the 30w ND and =
adding MTL------wishful thinking probably.
