So, I am getting ready to install the head on my 100 short block.=C2=A0 Mad=
e sure all the intake valves have the new seals I bought from British Car S=
pecialists plus the new set of springs I already had for the valves.=C2=A0 =
The two mating surfaces were cleaned with a white (finest grit) Roloc brush=
.=C2=A0 I have the correct head gasket (copper faced). =C2=A0 Tonight was t=
he night to torque the head down to the block.=C2=A0 My surprise, for some =
stupid reason I only ordered 8 new head nuts.=C2=A0 I managed to order the =
correct amount of washer for the head.=C2=A0 No idea what my pea brain was =
thinking.=C2=A0 Also found out the head nuts are Whitworth (3/8")=C2=A0 siz=
e.=C2=A0 I have a Whitworth socket set, so tragedy averted there.=C2=A0 I s=
eem to remember someone talking about the water jacket blanking plate earli=
er this week.=C2=A0 That made me look at the front of my block.=C2=A0 Three=
 studs and an empty hole.=C2=A0 No cover.=C2=A0 I managed to find two blank=
ing covers in my stash of parts and a gasket in my gasket set.=C2=A0 Woohoo=
, but no nuts or lock washers.=C2=A0 Can someone tell me if these little nu=
ts that I do not have are Whitworth nuts.=C2=A0 If so, what size?=C2=A0 I h=
ave a generator bracket, but there are no threaded studs for the block or n=
uts to mount it with.=C2=A0 Once again, Whitworth?=C2=A0 The closer I get t=
