Up here in Canada I insure my 2000 with something called the "Silver Wheel
Plan" for vintage cars. The rate is for $105 per year with full coverage
including collision and comprehensive. The rate is based on a car value of
$7,500. The requirements are that you have a modern vehicle insured as
your daily driver with a different insurance company, and that you don't
drive your car to work. Other than that you're free to enjoy it as you
like. I'm sure there must be similar plans in the States.

I checked the Silver Wheel Plan website and it provides some links to U.S.
sites: Grundy Worldwide; Parish Heacock; and Hagerty. Someone has already
mentioned that last one.

Here is a link to the Silver Wheel Plan links:

I had a motorcycle for many years and sold it before buying my Roadster.
It cost $800/year just for liability. I love the idea that the Roadster is
paying for itself from insurance savings alone! ....and I love the look on
people's faces when I tell them how much it is to insure - they always
say, "per month?" he he he.
