Thanks to those who replied about the vibration. Turns out it the bolt
holding my GM alternator (and two spacers, and the triangular bracket)
on the smog pump bracket was slightly loose, which let the alternator
vibrate. A little time under the hood (since it did it when the car
wasn't in gear) and I found it.
Oh, and I replaced the front wheel bearings. Had my father-in-law
there to help me with "push the grease on your palm into the bearing"
method.
