Subject: Need Help Finding My Datsun 1600

Dear Sirs, Found you on www. I Wonder if you have any suggestions or can
help me find my 1969/1600 Datsun ? The story: Along about 1980, I left
(stored) my car at a friends plantation in the Hilton Head Island South
Carolina area. I was then a yacht captain for several years traveling
between Canada and the Bahamas. During that time, the plantation was sold
for development. I was informed later that my car had been moved off the
property several miles down the road to the old caretakers house. That
was OK with me. He lived halfway betweem Bluffton, So. Car. and Savannah,
Ga. Then cames the bad news!! The caretakers cottage was struck by
lighting and burned to the ground,resulting in the old mans demise. My
friend informed me sometime later that I should come get my car as the land
was for sale and the caretakers family had moved from the area. A few weeks
later, I returned from the Bahamas only to find nothing!! The property had
been cleared . I only had one day in the area. I went to the old gas
stations, country stores, junk yard , houses in the area, no one knew about
my car but remember seeing it . So , time was up and I had to leave the
area. I never heard of or fuond any trace of my car, gone!!! I have the
title in front of me, dated Dec 3, 1975,State of South Carolina. Vin # SPL
31126498. I have tried to find it on title search sites, but they do not
