I can answser the 2000 carbs on a low dash question:
My pushrod 2 liter has early 240Z carbs, which I guess are
almost exactly like 2000 SU's. I'm running the 1600 air
cleaner, all you have to do is carefully elongate the four
mounting holes into slots and enlarge the carb holes.
I made some gaskets out of 3/16 rubber sheet which work
great. Maybe 2000 gaskets would work as well.
Looks like a perfectly stock 1600 under the hood, at least
until you study the carbs a bit.
