Hi everyone

I am new to your group and new to roadsters. I got my first roadster
today after looking for one for a few months. I bought a 1965 SPL310 from a
guy that was trying to sell it on e-bay. My roadster is serial number
SPL310-00006-D the Id tag shows that it is a 65 model year. The car needs
complete restoration since it has not been on the road since 1982. The car
seems to be very complete with minor body damage in several spots. It looks
like the car was parked under a tree because it was filled with leaves that
took me all day to clean out. The previous owner had the car for 20 years
and stopped driving it when he lost the keys and when he tried to hot wire
it he burned up the points and the car has sat ever since. He lived in
Arizona so the car looks like it. I have looked for rust and have only been
able to find rust colored areas just starting to come through the paint "in
the trunk area" but there is not any rust through the metal at all. I had
the car trucked to San Diego today from Phoenix. I have posted some pictures
of the car at http://www.mossy.com/roadster/
<http://www.mossy.com/roadster/> Since I am new to roadsters I have a few
preliminary questions.

Should this car be positive or negative ground?
Are the nuts and bolts metric or standard?
>From the old messages in this group about serial numbers this serial number
does not seem to match this year? SPL310-00006-D
Also from old messages and other info on the web I thought 65's were
supposed to have 2 seats? This one has 3.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Duram
