  I just got two quotes for re-chroming and fixing some bent metal parts, 
along with some pretty badly rusted and pitted chrome parts.  For literally 
EVERYTHING that can be chromed on my '66, the 2 quotes were $1200 and $1400.  
I almost hit the floor too!  I'm definitely in the wrong line of business...I 
guess you can use that as a gauge, but for a single bumper, $250-300 does 
sound a little high.
