Mine broke and I got by for months with a yarn and bead device my daughter made
to keep the lid down. Sort of. Then I finally found a chunk of plastic about
the right size and I cut it to fit.
Now why, you might ask, didn't I check with you folks for a part like this?
Red Green would understand: real men don't tell other guys they need help with
a part they could just as well manufacture themselves with a little ingenuity
and dogged determination over a period of several months. Simple.
