When I was a kid, my father towed his VW Kharmann Ghia from Jacksonville, FL
to San Diego with a tow bar. The car lasted another 8 years before my
brother trashed the engine for lack of oil changes.
Just make sure you leave the towed car in neutral with the handbrake
released. :-)
