As an Alpine owner, I ask you not to do it! Alpines are few and far
between enough as it is. Also, there are too many fake Tigers around
already. I'm not saying you'd try to pass it off as a fake, but the
person you eventually sell it to might.

The swapover is not straightforward. The front end must be upgraded.
The steering box must be changed. The firewall and transmission
tunnel have to be reformed via proper application of a large hammer.
The Alpine tranny & diff must be replaced completely. You'll probably
need a new radiator. If it doesn't have an oil cooler now, it will.
To offset the extra weight of the V8 engine, the position of the
battery and spare tire must be changed.

You're probably better off buying a real Tiger. But as I always say
when someone asks about modifications: it's your car, do what YOU
want to do, not what everybody else tells you.

I believe there are a couple of folks on the Tigers list who have done
the conversion. Mail the Tigers list at tigers@spice.sc.intel.com.
