Go for it! (But get another quote). I know resto prices are higher over
there (assuming you're in the former colonies), but that seems a touch
steep. I'd have thought $1000 to do the sills and another $1000 for an
economy respray would cover it? Especially if you do some of the preparation
and rubbing down. Maybe there's a new bootlid included?
Failing that, do the the sills this year and the paint job next.
But don't give up on it now - you've just got it sorted!
