Marcus:
Did you disconnect the throttle shafts from each other?
Sounds like the front throttle shaft is open more than
the rear. Backing off the idle screws won't allow the
front throttle to close if the rear throttle has closed.

Scott Kucera:
Try Mark at British Auto Salvage. Not sure of the area
code. Either 716 or 315 986.3097. Mark has a yard full
of lbc's and can probably come up with those spitwad
door catches. Say "Hi!" from/for me.

On another note, non lbc, I just acquired a '59 Mercedes
Benz 180A. It has been sitting in a garage for three years.
Engine turns over. Brakes not seized. The car is complete
and in surprisingly good shape for its age. The PO has
invested a lot of time to fight the rust worm. Needs paint.
Any thoughts on this car's value? Any offers?

Alan
