Peter Andrews mentioned that his bugeye grill from Moss was less than
desirable, well I had the same experience last fall with a grill for my
MGB after a yahho backed into the front of it. I had to replace my grill
with a moss "CONCOURS QUALITY REPRODUCTION" (and if you believe that have I
got a deal for you !!!).

First Problem: The grill was about a quarter inch taller than the old grill,
this doesn't sound like much until you try and latch the "bonnet". Use #102
for the lead knock off hammer, a few carefull blows to the top of the grill
and the hood can now latch. But the grill still doesn't fit just right.

Second Problem: The MGB emblem on the front was also a joy to behold, now MG
never put a lot of money into their emblem, It was just a simple piece of
plastic that had the MG symbol molded(in reverse) in the backside of the
plastic emblem, and it was them painted so the colour showed. The moss emblem
was a cheap piece of sawed out plastic (you can still see the saw marks on the
edges) with the MG emblem, painted on it, (must of cost all of 5 cents).

Third Problem: (If you really want concours) not a problem as far as I'm
concerned. The original grill was aluminum, the new grill was chrome. Now
aluminum pits very easily so chrome is an improvement to me.

Not quite what you would expect for "CONCOURS QUALITY REPRODUCTION", so if you
want a good grill don't order it from moss.

Someday I'll replace the grill with a good used grill, or a good quality repro

P.S. In moss's defence this is the only product I have ever got from them
which was not up to snuff.
