Do'nt consider a Land Rover with a V8 unless you want to do a LOT of work.
Land Rovers are very narrow & the engine & trans are offset. I have seen
a couple of V8 conversions. The person had to do a Lot of fire wall work
& remove the inner fender walls. A inline 6 is about as big as you would
reasonably go.
If you are looking for a tow vehical, why dont you look for a used tow truck
of the type that is a tilt flat bed? You can tow your car off the road &
have a spare time tow business on the side ;*)
