Crossflow head for A-blacks. I remember about 20 years ago seeing a
Mini at an Ice race with a crossflow head. The exhaust went out the
back side of the engine like Alec intended, but the front side bore a
dual sidedraft Weber. A box had been added to the front of the bonnet
to allow space for the carb. I'm sure you could fit it into a
Spridget, no trouble at all. I don't have the elephant-trunk heater
duct installed anyway. The oil filter and distrubuter would be a
little hard to reach. I don't remember if it was a twincam, though.
The embarrassing part about all this is that Suzuki has a four banger
the same size as a Spridget that puts out 100 bhp in stock,
emmissions-legal trim!
