I have a similar issue related to a bolt coming loose from the torque
converter. It seemed to vary when it would make the noise. I guess this
was depending on the speed of the flywheel at the time. Never seemed to
hear it while driving the car. I reinstalled the bolts with a different
thread lock and they seem to be fine now.
