In the range of OE spring rates and the resulting useable bump/compression
valving range, the effect of gas pressure on valving is of little
consequence. Under these conditions, gas pressure adjustment is more
relevant to ride height adjustment; static & dynamic, than to valving
adjustment. Changing shock gas pressure betweens runs isn't practical, and
even if you invested in making it practical it would not be beneficial IMO.
Before anyone tries to do so I would strongly recommend that they consider
what the resulting change will be to their alignment settings, particularly
toe.

The SEB is making the right call, not that making an informed decision ever
impeded debating it.
