Thanks for a GREAT letter. I've been doing this since dirt (1972) and
couldn't agree more. Especially about the fact that local clubs use the
national rules for stability when people travel to their events or others.
Hopefully many on the list will take heart of what you've said and remember
that SCCA is a *large* group of people and all this messing around with the
rules tends to hurt the smaller groups of the large group. More
consideration does need to be directed toward the regional level. Your idea
of a subset of rules for regional competition has merit and should be
considered.
