Andrew,

We are very pleased with our T/S system.

*JACircuits Timer
*Several Pentium Computers (we run the network version)
*AutoX T/S software by Rob Gregg
*Start tree custom made by our T/S Chief Tom Brewsaugh
*Banner Through Beam Infrared lights with custom stands by Dave Hutter (DO
NOT USE REFLECTOR TYPES)
*Epson 5000 Action Printer
*Radio Shack PA amp with four of their large PA horn speakers to announce.
*(future application) Race America's digital display.

Note: We have an old RV (i.e., very cheap) with generator and AC that the
club purchased to run timing out of. It is the perfect vehicle for doing this
with just minor mods such as a table built above the right hand dash to set
up the timing equipment. The drivers seat is for the assistant timer and we
have a built in desk where the dinette used to be for the announcers PC and
the printer. We run two additional PC's outside on a table under the canopy
for registration and soon to be (after the Windows version of the network
version is written by Rob) a Ticker program that will provide real times
stats of the event.

Hope this helps!
