Doug,
For the 69 TR6 there were two different keys unless an ignition steering
lock was fitted when three keys were required. The key numbers started with
FS, which fitted the ignition, cubby lock and trunk, and FT which fitted the
doors. Where an ignition steering lock is fitted it starts with FR. The FS
is a single sided key and the FT is a double sided. The FR was single sided
up to the 74 models and supposedly double sided after that when it was
numbered in the WR series.

PS For what it's worth a BMIHT build certificate will give you the original
key numbers that would have been fitted to your car.
