You know that will change your bump steer setting which is ok if the car
is lowered.

Walt,

I had the same problem with mine. The best thing to do without changing
the
mounts is to grind off enough at the bottom of the mount(part that will
touch the frame) so that you will get a tighter fit with no play. Worked
for
me and my car doesn't have over steer anymore.

The po of my TR6 had the rack mount rubber mounts replaced with stock
mounts. There still seems to be a lot of play in the rack. (1/4" ?) Is
there
a way to tighten the mounts without replacing them with urethane?
