There is nothing with numbers. There are grooves in the crankshaft pulley that signify TDC and a few other positions, and you have to get it about where it belongs (16 BTDC for non-smog Roadsters). I

The marks are probably still there, since they are actually notches in the dampener. Clean them thoroughly with some carb cleaner, then rub some white tire crayon into them. Wipe off the excess with
