I had thought the main point was Prepared/Mod versus Stock from a cost perspective Mod cars are cheaper. My Miata is my daily driver so while I will grant that an extra 10 HP is an asset it's worth

Duralube may be bad for engines but it works better than WD-40 on door hinges and the like. In the machine shop we used WD-40 exclusively and Duralube is better. I would never add it to an engine...

I've seeen used Bridgeports fairly reasonably priced. However, a used Enco will be much cheaper. Remember when Bridgeport put their nameplate over an Enco machine? I do, that machine went back fast.
