6. oil guage-to-pipe leather seal, dash bulb question (score: 1)

This seal on my oil guage is shot (black-rimmed gauges). I see it is not avail at TRF, part #54902. Anyone know of a good substitute, or of a vendor that may carry this part? I got a couple 24V 3.3W

Dick, count yourself lucky yours still have a tint of green left! All mine except the skinny one coming out of the front of the engine turned a nice burnt Sienna or Maple. Maybe closeer to an overcoo

Are those black wires with the loop end, in the speedo and tach wire clusters for grounding? Is it OK to put them on one of the gauge-todash mounting bolts on the back of the gauge and tightened down

Can someone give me some tips on how to fill the trans with oil? Can I do it from underneath with the front up on ramps? It seems you need to put the oil in a bottle with a hose to be able to get it

I don't think the bumper bars were fitted after '74 1/2 when they raised the bumper height, front and rear. Probably b/c the raised bars would obstruct the headlights and taillights. Ryan '71 TR6

Actually, Eric, I'd hesitate to replace any of the internal clutch components if they are not giving you any trouble. There are many on this list including myself that have been living in TR6 Clutch
