I don't go for the rolling eligibility date because it leads to the same problem the SCCA always had - the Car of the Year. As the newer cars become eligible, you have to deal with the fact that the

There is a world of differance between cheap racing and historic/vintage racing. Reading this thread I become more and more grateful for the situation in the UK. The VSCC has been discussed already.

Just a couple of points; a) VARAC selected its two date cut-offs, Dec. 31, 1961 for Vintage and Dec. 31, '72 for historic due to changes that came after each date i.e. MGA getting replaced by MGB, 35
