Unlike the TR3 and TR4 motor, the TR6 has no liners. The piston holes are bored direct into the iron lump. If your machinist is any good, he should be able to tell you whether the block needs bored o

I suggest locating a GOOD machine shop and having them bore it +.020". My car, CF38690UO is bored +.040" with no problems whatsoever. As was mentioned in another post, the 6 cylinder engines have no

I agree with Jim, but note that having liners installed will probably be substantially more expensive than just boring for oversize pistons, even if it's only two cylinders instead of six. Personally
