Unlike the TR3 and TR4 motor, the TR6 has no liners.  The piston holes 
are bored direct into the iron lump.  If your machinist is any good, he 
should be able to tell you whether the block needs bored or can get by 
with a honing.  If you have only pinholes in the cylinder wall, and no 
ledge up top, I would think you would be all right, as the pinholes 
would soon fill with carbon and gunk up to the level of the rest of the 
wall.
