If your rotor is pointing to the #1 terminal and the piston is at TDC then it is on the firing stroke. If the piston is at TDC and the rotor is pointing in the #3/6 area then it is on the exhaust str

Perhaps some clarity about terms is in order here. Anytime the #1 piston is at the exact top, that's TDC on #1. Since these are 4-cycle engines, that means there are two TDC events per cylinder firi
