If your rotor is pointing to the #1 terminal and the piston is at TDC then it is on the firing stroke. If the piston is at TDC and the rotor is pointing in the #3/6 area then it is on the exhaust stroke and is 180 degrees out. Your firing order is counter clockwise and is 1,5,3,6,2,4.
