- Chev has 2 size flywheels the larger being 14'' these are interchangable with all V/8's and late 6's. The starter for these bolt to the block and are matched to flywheel dia not engine displacement.

- Those screws you are speaking of are called Clutch Drive , you can only get a set of screw drivers from Carters or Chevy Duty that I know of. You used to be able to get the sockets with these tips,

- It sounds like you have an early model 235, this is a very good engine and very scarce. The head does interchange with the 216 , I believe the engine has more spirit than the late 235 I have ran one
