That's not true, as you must adjust your valves with the cold values after a rebuild. Then later on, you can use the hot values. I don't have the specs with me at work, but I'll look them up tonight

Excellent idea. I've often thought a gas strut would help hold up the trunk lid, every time the wind slammed it against my head. Some auto stores carry a variety of gas struts in different lengths.
