I discounted doing a manual conversion because of extreme clearance problems under the dashboard and because there didn't appear to be sufficient room to mount three pedals in the available space. I

The problem is that the original used a rod actuated clutch and the trans is designed for a cable actuated clutch. The gennie rod style is an easy fit in the car but a real 'rube goldberg' to mate to
