My guess at your problem is that your regulator is bent in the scissor area (common problem) This throws everything out of whack. The regulator can be fixed, but first it has to be removed. Once out

Your ammeter should read zero after the battery is charged no matter what is on! My guess as to where the problem lies is either in the regulator, ammeter or MSD box. Really narrows it down eh? First

1. to test the F terminal, disconnect @ regulator and attach Ohm meter between F on harness and Ground,(maybe you should test for voltage first, if you have voltage you have short to power someplace)
