I tried 10-40 syn when my engine was rebuilt and I had leaks, so I ended up gong with 20-50 synthetic. Leaks a lot less. which brand 10-40 syn was that Al? Cheers Jack Mc

I've heard that before when using syn oil in tranny's too, but it's British if it doesn't leak then you had better worry as it's probably out!! I switched to Red Line in the diff and tranny - they do

I have found that the body ground that lives in the engine compartment under the heater hoses just before they enter the bulkhead is concealed and often very neglected so that is where I would start
