Has anyone transplanted a 2500 engine into a 2000 (saloon that is). Any major issue? The diff is already a 2500 diff, which goes some way to explaining the soggy performance. Cheers Roly -- Roly Alco

Sorry should have said that the car is a 1975 mk2 with a horrible sounding bottom end rattle in the engine. Just so happens that there is a 2.5 engine available locally. Insurance is a good question.
