I would sincerely suggest that if you weren't there and heard it second
hand that you stop muddying up the the reports and read what those of us
who were there have said-We did not hear it second hand!-The rain washed
out the track and Saturday was cancelled. No groups were rearranged they
ran as they were scheduled in the original printed schedule that was
sent to all entrants upon registration. The sessions were moved from
Saturday and shortened to get everything in by 6:00PM Sunday. No one has
said anything about how the Mini wound up broadside in the middle of the
track where it was hit. The races were shortened to 30 minute timed
races. There was a multi car incident in turn 1 in the FA/FC race. There
was a muti car incident in turn 5 in the GT race. This one was the
result of a car spining on exit and the other cars checking up to
attempt to avoid him. Both of these resulted in track blockage and a red
flag. There were incidents of passes under yellow in different races.
The stewards did not black flag the involved cars but very carefully
documented the incidents. I am under the assumption that these drivers
were assessed penalties. With the exception of the last sentence, having
been there, I can assure you that these are the facts as we know them.
Anyone else who was there may be able to add some information. If you
weren't there and got your info second or third hand why not go read the
newspaper-it's got every bit as bad information as you are presenting.
