As a counter point to Oliver lamenting about the low values of a TR4, I
would refer him to the November 2004 issue of Keith Martin's Sports Car
Market magazine. In that issue Keith lists the values of all English cars
from the AC to theTVR. In the paragraph above that list he states "values
reflect a retail buying and selling range for cars in very good to near
excellent condition - significantly above a "daily driver" and one step
below regional Concours. These values are set by sales activity as well as
conversations with owners, dealers and collectors".
Keith and his staff gives the value of a TR4 at a low of $12,000 with an
$18,000 high.
Granted that is not at the "silly" money level for an Austin-Healey BJ8 but
we will get there!
