> Modify thrust bearing. Increase its size and pin it > so it cant fall out. Some one did this to my engine. It looks like they milled down the mains slightly, drilled two holes, inserted pins into the holes. Then put holes in the same location on the thrust washers. So now they have no chance of falling out into the pan. Who does this sort of work on the engines? Seems like a very good idea. Ed. '66 Herald. |
