Oh Mike,
I love you and your British whit. The United States Constitution is still
in tact and working. It's just we Americans are too lazy to take advantage
of what it does for us. We would rather complain about how it is someone
else's fault that we pay too much in taxes and we have to get our car
inspected, as opposed to, fix the problem ourselves.

After all I paid forty seven or forty eight dollars last year in property
taxes on my two acres of land and my two thousand square foot house. Now
they want me to vote for another tax increase. You see the State of
Louisiana's Constitution only allows an increase in taxes if it is approved
by the voters. Like that is going to happen.

I had to drive my GT6 over to get it inspected to see if all of the lights
came on. They didn't even ask why I used my feet to stop the car. All of
the lights worked, that was what was important. I didn't even have the
transmission cover in the car and it still passed the inspection. Emission
controls you say! What is that. It is just dead weight that is removed as
soon as it is discovered it serves no useful purpose.

Don't assume that all of America is as screwed up as the far left coast and
other big cities. There are places where honor, respect and common decency
still exist.

I can leave my house and not lock the door. In fact if I leave the door
open the neighbors will come over and close it for me. I leave tools out
and they stay where I leave them. If they do leave, all I have to do is
wait and my neighbor will bring it back when he is done with it. It is not
uncommon to go outside and find the neighborhood kids helping my son work on
his Spitfire. It is also common to have the kids in the neighborhood come
over even when my kids are gone.

I live in a great neighborhood, a great state and a great country. And
Mike, if you ever come to the states (colonies), come on down and see me.
If I don't have room, I'll make room. We will talk Triumphs and politics
till our wives beat us senseless.

We may even go for a quick ride in the country.
