I have a new coil that says no external resistor is to be used so I removed
the ballast resistor. I get a spark off the lead out of the coil (to the
distributor) when I open the points by hand or rotate the engine by hand.
When I crank the engine, no spark occurs until I let go of the key, and then
I get a substantial spark. Any ideas or suggestions?
