>The last set of Mahle >pistons I got for a 914 varied several grams from lightest to heaviest. I can recommend the 87MM piston and liner set from British Parts Northwest (BPNW $499, I think). BPNW says the pistons are Mahle. The rings are Devis??? (can't retreive the name from old memory banks). The liners, wrist pins and circlips were all first quality. The machine shop guy I used was very impressed with the quality. He weighed every thing and found them all "spot on". The real test is that the rebuilt engine is running very strong and I am as happy as a clam. Brian Sanborn '62 TR4 CT16260L Groton,MA TR4 Website www.net1plus.com/users/sanborn/home.html |
