If you are talking about People's Choice, well, I usually have a "soft
spot" for certain cars, and I vote for the car that in my opinion is the
one that most nearly meets my expectations. If you are talking about
judging, then the people doing the judging are not very well trained on
what to look for on any particular marque. Certain, all vehicle,
car shows are like this. I used to go to a show here in Michigan called
Carnival of Cars. C of C is/was a great show, but because of the number
of cars being judged, didn't have look at all details of all cars.
They might give a glance at the underhood area, but, not realizing that
a particular car didn't have wrinkle finish paint on the engine, decide
that it was worth first place simply because it looked clean and pretty.

Hopefully you will go to a VTR show and have your car judged there. I
know that there are no political games played at these shows, and that
the judging is purely based on the merits of the car in comparison to
how it was from the factory.
