Phil,
 Believe it or not, I have an answer to your "Limey" question.
 Seems that back in days of yore when the British were THE  glodal power
and doing all their exploring, they would carry LIMES , es, the citrus
fruit, on their ships to fight scurvy, a disease caused by lack of
vitamin C.
 How about that.
 Lots and lots of usless B.S.
